Dinner at Sembang-Sembang Cafe

I brought my digital camera along this afternoon and I decided to take some pics while we’re strolling around town. Miri town looks different at night time because of the decorative lights across at some of the strategic places around town. My girlfriend, her brother and I drive around town before we go for our dinner.

There is one particular thing that caught my attention. If you’re living in Morsjaya area, you’ll know what I am talking about. There’s this new 1Malaysia landmark standing right next to the seahorses. I think it’s there since the national CNY celebration a few weeks ago. It’ll probably going to stay there for a few more months I guess. We’ll see.

Anyway, three of us had our dinner at the Sembang-sembang cafe. I had a Nasi Paprik Ayam and Three Sour drink. The food only cost RM5 and it was very delicious, but too bad the chicken slices are too small.

To be honest, I don’t mind paying an extra RM1 or RM2 for more chicken. You should try it yourself next time. I think you’ll love it 😉

Here’s some of the pics that I took earlier on.

You can have your food under the moon if you prefer to use the tables on the sidewalk.

This is the Nasi Paprik Ayam that I’m talking about. RM5 only. Berbaloi-baloi, hehe.

Musim Bubok Datang Lagi

Wah, dah lama aku tak update blog ni.

Tapi kalau nak buat belacan (shrimp paste) memang agak sesak nafas jugak la beli sebab harga bubok sekarang ni dalam sekitar RM6 – RM8 sekilo. Memandangkan dah beberapa tahun tiada bubok terpaksa jugak la beli.

Satu tips utk dikongsi – Kalau nak beli bubok murah untuk dijadikan belacan, beli la waktu petang, sebab masa tu harga nya dah turun sikit. Iye lah, penjual nya pun nak cepat-cepat habiskan stok. Kalau pergi awal pagi memang tak ada chance la nak tawar harga. Biasa lah 😉

Sekian, wasalam!

Happy Chinese New Year 2011 – Year of the Hare

The year of the Tiger is finally over and I have already begin to feel the good aura of what this year is going to bring for me.

According to the Chinese beliefs, this is the year of the hare (rabbit). I’ve found an interesting link that shared a forecast based on your zodiac. I am a rat and based on what I read on that blog, it’s stated that I should take care of important documents and transactions. I’m going to put my swiftlet nest project on hold for next year. I’ll just focus on Tokay gecko and my existing niche blogs project this year.

I hope it’s not too late to wish a Happy Chinese new year for those who are celebrating it. I hope you enjoyed yourself and managed to collect plenty of angpows. I was quite sad because I was not able to join my family for the reunion dinner this year because I had to stay back and get a few jobs done.  Anyway, I just found out that our Prime Minister, Datuk Najib Razak is coming to Miri for the national level CNY celebration tomorrow. I’ll probably be there tomorrow.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank AsengPC for the CNY card that they posted several days ago 🙂 I decided to try their PC reformat service after the laptop gets slow during startup. It was a good decision. You can consider to use their service if you’d like to reformat your PC or laptop. After all, it will only cost you RM30! That’s an amazing offer if you ask me.

Anyway, to all my blog visitors, I hope this year is going to bring good fortunes and happiness for you and your family. Gong Xi Fa Cai!
