Freelancer.com is sorely disappointing

Today, I decided to close my account on freelancer.com. Why?

A project owner awarded me with a project and I accepted it. He decided to cancel it before we even discuss the details. The project costs $222 (including the fees), so I end up with a negative balance of -$22. That sucks, don’t you think so? There’s no chance to defend myself at all. All they care about it making money. Damn. That is going to be the last time I use freelancer.com

What made me pissed off more was, I had to spent $10 just to get a badge for SEO and US English. This is a ripoff!

Update: The issue has finally been resolved and I thank them for being professional and refunded my money 🙂

Backtest & Forward-testing EA

I was juggling between bidding for projects on Freelancer.com and doing backtest and forward-test for EA that I use for my trading. I still haven’t found the right method on how to do the right adjustment on the EA so I can leave the robot by itself on a VPS and stop trading by or before Friday.

The screenshot that I posted above is for backtest for 2 months running non-stop from January to February 2011 for EUR/JPY.

I am having a hard time doing backtest for this EA because the technique involves hedging and it will continue to open new positions unless if it is removed from the chart or if the MT4 is disconnected from the Internet.. Which means it can be a disaster if the EA is left to run and still have open positions during the weekend. I will try to edit this by myself and find out how to prevent it from opening new positions after the last position on Thursday hit TP.

I am going to get a VPS soon and load the EA once I have found the right setting and modification.
